Resistance Against Tyranny protest: A massive youth success!

This Friday, May 23rd, high schoolers across multiple Chicago high schools walked out and marched together to showcase resistance against national educational and health grant cuts, censorship of media, unlawful deportations, and more.

This event was organized by the Lincoln Park High School Civic Leaders of America, and all of the work they put forth was incredible.

We are so proud to see young people taking charge, and are happy to see many of our own Chicago High School Democrats members in the crowd!

When national policy infringes on our education, it is the duty of the students to fight back. We deserve safe, equal, and valuable education. A $910 million dollar cut to educational grants, including those which support impoverished students is never okay. Remember: "The people united will never be defeated."
